Liminal is a space suspended between the known and the unknown, a threshold where something within our soul is waiting for a name or an identity.

Four women, spanning four distinct decades of life and diverse backgrounds, interrogate the liminal passages of their personal journeys: between freedom and pause, wars and art, beginnings and endings. Their individual paths intertwine with a shared local condition, living through relentless years under war while searching for hope. Alongside their journeys runs a parallel narrative echoing Yves Klein’s ground-breaking 1960s work ״Anthropometry of the Blue Period״, which gave physical presence to silenced wartime catastrophe. This dialogue demands a clear-eyed gaze at what collective memory continually represses, confronting the somatic imprint of destruction.

Liminal resists quick fixes, knowing that the urge to resolve often forces drastic choices. Instead, it invites shared presence within suspension, breathing into uncertainty so something new can emerge.
